Keith Muller and Gary Wathen rounded out the top five.

It was a tough night for a number of competitors and none more so than Ray Eggins, who executed a nasty roll in front of the main grandstand early in the night having been the innocent victim in a three-car skirmish. Eggins would take no further part in the event, while Kevin Britten was lucky to take his place in the Feature race having made heavy contact with the turn two concrete during a heat race. Hard luck also for Brian Scott, who was unable to take advantage of his front row start in the Feature race having suffered a flat left rear tyre on the opening lap.

Earlier in the night, heat race wins went to Kelvin Hamilton, David Clark, Keith Muller, Andrew Pezzutti, Mark Robinson and Rian Collier.
