" I didn't see it from the outside so I'm not going to say too much" commented Britten, " but my wheel ended up getting ripped off so that tells a story in itself. I think I might have been able to limp home ok but it ripped the whole tyre off the wheel and once that happened I had absolutely zero traction. Four wheels are definitely better than three, that's the lesson learned from tonight!"

Coming home in third place was a rejuvenated Keith Muller, who just a week earlier tasted victory in Toowoomba.

"Its starting to turn around" said Muller of his recent run of success. " It was a pretty rough track tonight, potholes everywhere and it was a bit rough on my body. So I had to slow down a bit and find a pace I feel comfortable at."

" We're doing to same things as last year but there is something we have done over the offseason to the car, I don't know what it is, but it has worked whatever it is" said Muller. " We went over the whole car in the offseason and now its really nice to drive"

After giving away a handful of positions on the opening lap, Ray Klarich recovered by races end to finish fourth, with Sydney's Matt Ferry recording a very solid fifth place finish. After a disappointing DNF last weekend in his first race on Australian soil, New Jersey resident Steve Davis brought his Paul Crossley-owned Teo home in sixth.

Heat race wins went to Peter Britten, David Clark, Kevin Britten and Ray Klarich.

V8 Dirt Modifieds return to the Supercheap Auto Archerfield Speedway this coming Saturday night (Dec 3) for the next round of the Crossley Racing Engines Series.

FEATURE RACE (30-LAPS) 1st David Clark, 2nd Peter Britten, 3rd Keith Muller, 4th Ray Klarich, 5th Matt Ferry, 6th Steve Davis (USA), 7th Paul Booker, 8th Murray Flay, 9th Brian Scott, 10th Brad Eckert, DNF: Rod Coyne, Lance Towns, John Jones, Kevin Britten.
